DIY Relaxation Spray

We are living through history right now as we watch a global pandemic unfold right before our very own eyes. With uncertainty, our lives can become more stressful and overwhelming. Sometimes, we need to take time to unwind and relax as best as we can. Today, I will introduce a simple DIY recipe that is good for relaxation and even sleep! For myself, actually being able to create my own blends is a fun and calming hobby!

  • Fill your empty spray bottle with water, witch hazel or your favourite carrier oil

  • Add 6-12 drops of 100% pure Lavender essential oil

  • Add 2-6 drops of 100% pure Ylang Ylang essential oil

  • Add 2-6 drops of 100% pure Bergamot essential oil

Once you add in your desired essential oils, you can tighten up your spray bottle, give it a shake, and it’s as easy as that!

The beauty of creating your own relaxation spray is that it can be unique to you. You can add more or less essential oils, or you can even experiment with additional essential oils. Your creation can be used however you wish. Personally, I like to spray this in my bedroom, or even on my pillow! One trick I learned was that you can even get a cotton ball, spray it with your creation and place the cotton ball inside your pillow case for relaxation at bed time!
